10u players are girls aged 9 and 10.  BRYC Softball plays games in the Spring (Apr-Jun) and Fall Sep-Oct/Nov).  The 10u league emphasizes the teaching and coaching of fundamental softball skills (catching, throwing, hittings, base running, rules, and game play), and builds on the the lessons learned at 8u.

Our philosphy is to have as many parents participating as possible, even if it just means someone to catch and throw with a young player.  It is a monumental task for one or two coaches to work with 10 or more players at this age, most of which have little to no experience.

 

Supplimental rules that governing BRYC and the Northern Virginia leagues participating in inter-league play throughout the year. Coaches please note, these rules are not a comprehesive set of rules, they are simply a subset of rules that are tailored for BRYC and Inter-league play.
